Know Your Audience

PROVERBS 9:8

Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

Be aware of the audience with whom you are speaking, they are not all the same. Sometimes as administrators we get the wrong idea that everyone is on the edge of their seat positively absorbing everything that is being spoken. As a leader, understand there will be a variety of responses to all communications.

A Listening Leader

PROVERBS 8:33

Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

There is something valuable about being able to listen. The ability to take daily information from various sources and blend it into wise decisions and communications is a highly valuable administrative quality. This ability will bring value to all areas of responsibility. Not only hearing, but the wise one will accept instruction even if the information does not exactly fit their personal likes and dislikes.
